Fort McMurray Oil Barons Launch Third Jersey Contest for Local Students
Fort McMurray, AB — The Fort McMurray Oil Barons are excited to announce the launch of their Third Jersey Design Contest, offering local students in the Wood Buffalo Region a unique opportunity to showcase their creativity and passion for the MOB.
Open to all students attending schools within the Wood Buffalo Region, this contest invites young MOB fans to create a custom third jersey for the Oil Barons that will be used during the 2026-27 season at Centerfire Place. Participants must incorporate the team’s primary colours (Royal Blue/Navy Blue/Sunflower/White) and are encouraged to use existing Oil Barons logos or design a brand-new emblem that captures the spirit of the team and community.
Contest Details:
- Eligibility: Students from schools in the Wood Buffalo Region
- Design Requirements:
- Primary colour must be Royal Blue, Navy Blue, or Sunflower
- Use existing Oil Barons logo or create a new one
- Submission Deadline: October 1, 2025

Prize Package:
- The winning design will be produced as a third jersey for the Oil Barons during the 2026-2027 season
- The winner will receive a custom jersey featuring their design
- A $500 scholarship will be awarded to the winning student to support their educational pursuits
- Ceremonial puck drop
