FORT McMURRAY, AB — The Fort McMurray Oil Barons are pleased to announce the signing of forward Sullivan Hookey for the 2026-27 Alberta Junior Hockey League season.
Hookey joins the Oil Barons after an outstanding season with the Red Deer Chiefs U18 AAA of the AEHL U18, where he recorded 21 goals and 31 assists for 52 points in 37 games during the 2025-26 campaign. The 2008-born forward from Sylvan Lake, AB, continued his strong play into the postseason, tallying four goals and one assist in just two playoff games. Hookey also gained valuable junior experience last season, making his Alberta Junior Hockey League debut with the Grande Prairie Storm.
