Oil Barons Sign Forward Anthony Campbell

The Fort McMurray Oil Barons are excited to announce the signing of Anthony Campbell for the 2023-2024 season.

Campbell was born in 2005 and is originally from Philipsburg, QC. The 5’11” centermen played with the U18 Mount Academy Saints last season, a prep program in P.E.I.

“Anthony is a player we are very excited about. He is a player that stood out to us right from day 1 when we saw him. He followed that up with an unbelievable year in the CSSHLE putting up a combined 36 goals, 74 assists, totaling 110 points. With those numbers it’s no secret what he can bring to our team.” Said Head Coach and General Manager Adam Manah. “He has outstanding hockey IQ, a great skill set which allows him to be dynamic all over the ice, but especially in the offensive zone or off the rush. He knows when to attack middle ice which makes him a threat with the puck, whether that is looking for his teammates or using his shot to rip bullets. He is a proven goal scorer, playmaker, and on top of that he takes pride in having a high compete level, playing hard on both sides of the puck, and being reliable in all three zones. Lastly, Anthony is a player that likes to lead by example on or off the ice and was an Asst. Captain for the Mount Academy Saints this past season. We feel he has a high ceiling and will be driven to continue to grow his game at the Jr. A level.”

The Oil Barons would like to welcome Anthony and his family to the organization.
