FORT McMURRAY, AB — The Fort McMurray Oil Barons are pleased to announce the signing of forward Anthony Hurley for the 2026-27 Alberta Junior Hockey League season.
Hurley joins the Oil Barons after an exceptional campaign with the Central Impact of the Newfoundland U18 AAA League, where he recorded 31 goals and 42 assists for 73 points in just 30 games. His remarkable season saw him establish a new Newfoundland U18 AAA League scoring record, highlighting his elite offensive ability and consistency.

He comes off a standout season in the Newfoundland U18 AAA League, where he set a new U18 scoring record, a testament to his consistent offensive production and impact on the game. He has the ability to make plays and score in equal measure, and his offensive instincts make him a constant threat every time he’s on the ice. Beyond his production, Anthony is a natural leader who drives the standard of his team, and we believe those qualities will translate well to our group.
