Oil Barons sign U.S. born forward Joe Clark

Fort McMurray, AB (June 5, 2020) ? The Oil Barons are excited to announce that 2001-born forward Joe Clark (Gardiner, ME, USA) has signed a letter of intent for the 2020-21 AJHL season.

?Although it?s a long way from home, coming to Fort McMurray was an easy decision for me,? said Clark. ?I?ve always wanted to play for a top-notch program like the Oil Barons. The organization promotes development on and off the ice, cares for its players, while the organization is fully embraced by the community.?

Clark is known as a tough, hard-nosed power forward that can score. In 47 games with the L/A Nordiques of the North American Tier III Hockey League (NA3HL) last season, Clark recorded 84 points (50 goals, 34 assists).

?I?m looking forward to being part of Fort McMurray?s culture, I?ve heard nothing but great things about the community and AJHL,? added Clark. ?It?s a great honour to be part of a program that includes Scottie Upshall as part of it?s alumni class. I try to model my game after Scottie Upshall.?

The Oil Barons would like to officially welcome Joe and the entire Clark family to Fort McMurray and our organization.
