Fort McMurray, AB (January 15, 2021) – The Oil Barons are excited to announce that the organization has signed 2003-born goaltender and Fort McMurrayite Gabe Gratton to a letter of intent (LOI) for the upcoming 2021-22 AJHL season.
Gratton is currently in his second season with the Fort Saskatchewan Rangers U18 AAA team. In 12 games with the Rangers last season, Gratton registered a 3.20 GAA and a .898 save percentage.
In three games this season before a pause due to COVID-19, he?s recorded a 3.27 GAA and a .911 save percentage.
Gratton joins his hometown team, after previously serving as an affiliate with the Oil Barons last season. Gratton joins four players signed to LOIs earlier this week by the Oil Barons.
The Oil Barons would like to officially welcome Gabe and the entire Gratton family to our organization.
