Oil Barons sign defenceman Brendan Wang

Fort McMurray, AB (April 18, 2020) ? The Fort McMurray Oil Barons are excited to announce that 2002-born defenceman Brendan Wang (Burnaby, BC) has signed a letter of intent for the 2020-21 AJHL season.

?The Oil Barons are a successful and stable organization with tremendous support from a passionate fanbase,? said Wang. ?The Oil Barons? reputation for being a model franchise in the AJHL, holding a strong sense of community, and remaining dedicated to excellence makes Fort McMurray a desirable place to play.?

Wang joins the Oil Barons after spending the last two seasons with the Burnaby Winter Club Prep Team of the CSSHL. In 36 games last season, Wang scored 32 points (10 goals, 22 assists) adding 41 points (six goals, 35 assists) in 35 games played in 2018-19.

I?m also excited to learn from and play for Coach Gord Thibodeau. He?s a very well respected and seasoned coach and the winningest coach in the AJHL.?
