The Fort McMurray Oil Barons have acquired defenseman Tristan Taylor (04) from the Olds Grizzlys in exchange for Lucas Schaefer (06) and a PDF (Player Development Fee).
Taylor has suited up in 26 games this season for the Grizzlys while producing 10 points (2 goals and 8 assists). The 6’3″ right shot d-man will bring experience and leadership to the MOB with 100 games of Junior hockey under his belt while also being an assistant captain with Olds this season.
The AJHL recently announced Taylor as the Alberta Ford Dealers AJHL Defensive Player of the Week from December 30th, 2024 – January 5th, 2025 after leading the Grizzlys to two consecutive wins including a three point night in a 5-4 win over the Pontiacs.
