MOB Acquire Todd from BCHL’s Spruce Kings

Fort McMurray, Alta. (Oct. 10, 2015) – The Fort McMurray Oil Barons of the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) have acquired 1995-born forward Cole Todd (North Vancouver, B.C.) from the Prince George Spruce Kings of the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL) for 1997- born forward Jordan Funk (Surrey, B.C.) and future considerations.

In 53 games with the Spruce Kings last season, Todd scored 29 points (12 goals, 17 assists) and recorded 56 penalty minutes. In four games this season, Todd did not register a point.

“Cole’s a player that possesses tremendous speed and agility. At 6’2”, 195 pounds, he adds size to our group of top six forwards,” said Head Coach and General Manager Tom Keca. “He’s also shown that he has the ability to score and can play in key situations night in and night out.”

In six games with the Oil Barons this season, Funk recorded two points (one goal, one assist) and zero penalty minutes. The Oil Barons thank Jordan for his contributions this season and wish him the best in the future.
