FORT McMURRAY, AB (August 25, 2014) — Fort McMurray Oil Barons head coach and general manager Curtis Hunt issued the following statement tonight regarding 1994-born defenceman John Teets.
“John Teets was a key player in a trade that we tried to make tonight. Being an American-born player, he has the right to accept or refuse,” said Hunt.
“He has refused to accept the trade and subsequently left the team.”
