The Barons played 4 games in 5 nights to head into the xmas break compiling a 2-1-1 record.
The MOB started the week winning their 19th straight at home beating Lloydminster 4-2. The Barons were oushot 32-15 and out chanced 11-9 but converted on their opportunities to get the win. Brennan Saulnier had a goal (9th) and 2 assists while Jetlan Houcher (19th), Louis-Joseph Sawyer (2nd) and Mitch Vanderlaan (7th) also scored. Tanner Jaillet collected his 20th win of the season.
The Barons lost 3-0 in Drayton Valley in perhaps the team's most uninspired game of the season. The Barons led 32-20 in shots but only 9-8 in scoring chances as the MOB played on the perimeter all night. Jesse Gordichuk took the loss in net.
The Barons bounced back In Sherwood Park scoring 3 in the 3rd period to take away a 4-2 come from behind win. Jetlan Houcher (20th/21st) Kaiden Tobin (6th) and Adam Durkee (9th) scored for the MOB. The shots favoured Sh Pk 29-20 while the scoring chances were 13 aside. Kevin Miller had 3 assists and Ryan Bloom had 1 assist – his 100th AJHL asisst. Tanner Jaillet notched his 21st victory of the year.
The Barons had a solid effort but fell short in Spruce Grove dropping a 3-2 shoot out loss. Ryan Bloom (17th) and Adam Durkee (10th) scored for the Barons. The Saints held a 38-24 edge in shots and a 15-9 edge in scoring chances.
