The Barons dropped a 4-3 decision to Drayton Valley last night in their home opener at the Casman Centre. The team looked very nervous early and fell behind 3-0 on some shoddy defensive zone coverage. The Barons stormed back from a 3-1 deficit in the 3rd perid to tie the game at 3-3 but were unable to complete the comeback.
The MOB turned the puck over 35 times in the game and were very sloppy in executing and receiving passes all night.
Brock Maschmeyer, Kevin Lacroix and Brett Printz all scored for the MOB. The final shots were 31-29 for the MOB and we had a 14-11 edge on scoring chances.
