Alexis Beaulac Commits to Nipissing University

The Fort McMurray Oil Barons are proud to announce that Alexis Beaulac has committed to Nipissing University. The Nipissing Lakers compete in U Sports and are located in North Bay, Ontario.

The hulking 6’5″ defenceman played heavy minutes against the opponents top players throughout the season in a physical shut down role for the MOB. Beaulac also chipped in 8 goals and 15 assists from the back end and was named best defenceman on the team. Beaulac wore an “A” on his jersey and was a key contributor to the Oil Barons penalty kill that ranked 4th in the AJHL.

“This season will remain etched in my memory. Joining the Fort McMurray Oil Barons was much more than just a step in my career; it was an unforgettable human experience. From day one, I felt the energy, passion, and unwavering support of this organization. I had the privilege of playing alongside exceptional teammates, being guided by a staff that believed in me, representing a community that stands proudly behind its team, and having an amazing host family who supported me every step of the way. A big thank you to everyone who was part of this journey — both on and off the ice. Your support has been crucial in my development, and I will always be grateful. This chapter may be closing, but the memories, friendships, and lessons will stay with me. Thank you, Fort McMurray, from the bottom of my heart.” – Alexis Beauluc.

The Oil Barons would like to congratulate Alexis and his family on this accomplishment.
