The Fort McMurray Oil Barons are excited to launch our newest fundraiser: the 2026-27 Oil Barons Hockey Pool! For just $50 per entry, you can put your NHL knowledge to the test, compete for cash prizes, follow your players throughout the season and, most importantly, help support the Fort McMurray Oil Barons and our players. 50% of all money collected will be paid out in prizes, and 50% will go directly to the Oil Barons.
The prize breakdown is:
- 30% of the total pot for 1st place.
- 15% of the total pot for 2nd place.
- 5% of the total pot for 3rd place.
How to Enter:
- Click the official Oil Barons Hockey Pool invitation link: https://www.officepools.com/invite/classic/m/26FC8A9
- Create an account if you don’t already have one.
- Follow the prompts to join the 2026-27 Fort McMurray Oil Barons Hockey Pool.
- Enter your name/team information and begin making your selections.
- Choose one player from each available group. Your final roster will consist of 16 forwards, 5 defencemen and 3 goalies.
- Review your picks carefully and submit them before the entry deadline.
- Pay your $50 entry fee:
- at the Oil Barons ticket office in Centerfire Place, or
- send payment by EMT to accounts@oilbarons.com and note your team name, or
- call the Oil Barons ticket office and pay by credit card.
- Once the NHL season gets underway, follow the leaderboard on OfficePools and see how your team stacks up against the competition!

The official entry cutoff is October 5, 2026 at 12:00 a.m. MDT. Because that is midnight at the beginning of October 5, we strongly encourage everyone to have their picks and payment completed no later than Sunday, October 4.
Every $50 entry directly supports the Fort McMurray Oil Barons, helping cover the costs of operating the team and providing players with the resources and opportunities to train, develop and compete throughout the 2026-27 season.
