Oil Barons to hold jersey auction for Northern Lights Health Foundation

Fort McMurray, AB (January 28, 2019) – Once again, the Oil Barons will be playing at the Casman Centre in February for more than just valuable points in the standings. The Barons have partnered with Lance Bussieres of RE/MAX Fort McMurray to wear and auction commemorative jerseys in support of the Northern Lights Health Foundation.

“We’re excited to partner with Lance Bussieres and RE/MAX Fort McMurray once again to raise money for the health foundation and their many programs and services that support Wood Buffalo families,” said Oil Barons President David Fitzgerald. “This is our way of giving back to our community.”

The Barons will dawn the commemorative, lab-coat inspired jerseys on February 1 and 2 when the Whitecourt Wolverines and Grande Prairie Storm visit the Casman Centre.

Bidding is now open and will close at the end of the second intermission on February 2. Bids can be placed by visiting or calling the Casman Centre box office at (780) 743 – 5509. Bids can also be placed by calling Juanita Wood at (587) 646-2658 or Lance Bussieres at (780) 788-0815.

2019 marks the third year in a row that the Oil Barons have held a jersey auction in support of the health foundation. In total, the Oil Barons have raised over $20,000 for the Northern Lights Health Foundation since 2017.

Tickets for both games are available through the Casman Centre box office or online at fortmcmurrayoilbarons.ca. Puck drop for both games is at 7:30 p.m.
