Oil Barons to head to Anzac for practice and community skate Friday

FORT McMURRAY, AB (September 17, 2014) – The Fort McMurray Oil Barons invite the community of Anzac to join them on Friday afternoon as the team takes a trip down to the new Anzac Recreation Centre for a team practice and community skate.

The Barons will hit the ice at 3:30 PM for a full-length team practice, as the MOB prepares for its home games this weekend against the Olds Grizzlys and Canmore Eagles.

At 4:45, the team will hold a community skate and autograph signing session.

The event is the latest endeavour by the Oil Barons to reach out to the rural communities of the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo, of which the Barons are proud representatives.

The team looks forward to future opportunities to develop relationships with hockey fans across the RMWB.

The Anzac Recreation Centre is located at 237 Stony Mountain Road in Anzac.

Tickets are on sale for the Oil Barons’ home games this weekend; an 8 PM puck drop against Olds on Saturday night, and a Sunday matinee game against Canmore at 2 PM.

Tickets are available at the Casman Centre box office, by phone at 780 743 5509, or online at tickets.oilbarons.com.
