The Oil Barons are thrilled to announce several key additions and returning members to our hockey operations staff for the upcoming 2024-25 season.
TJ Fairall Appointed as Director of Player Personnel
We are pleased to announce the hiring of TJ Fairall as the Director of Player Personnel. TJ is a former AJHL player and served as an assistant coach for the Concordia Thunder in the ACAC from 2019-2022. His expertise and background will greatly enhance our player development and scouting efforts.
Brad Granley Joins as Team Consultant
Additionally, we have added Brad Granley as a Team Consultant. Brad is a former player in the SJHL and BCHL, where he won the National Junior ‘A’ Championship with the Surrey Eagles. His coaching credentials include serving as an assistant coach with the Whitecourt Wolverines in the AJHL, and three years as an assistant coach for the Concordia Thunder in the ACAC. Brad’s wealth of experience will be invaluable to our team’s strategic planning and player development.
Returning Staff Members
We are thrilled to confirm that Sara Diamond will continue in her role as Skills Coach/Assistant Coach, former Oil Barons alumnus and standout goaltender, Tanner Jaillet, will return as the Goalie Coach, and Peter Spiers will be entering his 16th season with the Oil Barons as team Trainer and Equipment Manager. Additionally, Jennifer Pope has confirmed her return as the Education Coordinator for the Oil Barons. Their continued dedication and expertise are vital to our team’s success.
We are excited about the upcoming season and confident that these additions to our hockey operations staff will lead to significant improvements on and off the ice.
