Oil Barons acquire Ty Mosimann from Trail

Fort McMurray, AB (September 6, 2020) ? The Fort McMurray Oil Barons have acquired 2000-born forward Ty Mosimann (Edam, SK) from the Trail Smoke Eaters of the BCHL. In return, 2002-born defenceman Jordan Hendry (Surrey, BC) will head to Trail to complete the trade.

Mosimann, 20, has spent the last two seasons with the Lloydminster Bobcats. In 58 games last season, he recorded 36 points (16 goals, 20 assists) and added 22 points (six goals, 16 assists) in 57 games during the 2018/19 season.

In total, Mosimann brings additional scoring and AJHL experience to the MOB.

Hendry, 18, was acquired by the MOB this offseason to complete a trade made with the Surrey Eagles last season. In 34 BCHL games last season, Hendry registered three assists.

The Oil Barons would like to thank Jordan for his effort during the early stages of our development season and wish him the best upon his return to his home province of B.C.

The Oil Barons would also like to welcome Ty and his family to Fort McMurray.
