The Fort McMurray Oil Barons have acquired Goaltender Gage Stewart from the Swan Valley Stampeders of the MJHL in exchange for a PDF (Player Development Fee).
Stewart, the 2003 born goalie originally from Marathon, Ontario, is committed to NCAA Division 1 program Maine. With Swan Valley this season, he has suited up in 20 games between the pipes putting up a .909 SV%.
“Gage is super excited to be coming to Fort McMurray to help us for the rest of the season. He is committed to NCAA Division 1 program Maine and we are thrilled that he will be able to come in and provide a veteran presence at the goaltending position for the remainder of this season.” Said Interim Head Coach and General Manager Carter Duffin. “We are pleased to provide Gage the opportunity to work with Goaltending coach Tanner Jaillet.”
