Fort McMurray, AB (September 5, 2019) – The Fort McMurray Oil Barons have acquired 2001-born goaltender Evan Fradette from the BCHL’s West Kelowna Warriors for future considerations.
The 18-year-old St. Albert native played for his hometown Midget AAA Raiders last season. In 14 regular season games with the Raiders, Fradette recorded a 2.35 GAA and .913 save percentage and a 2.17 GAA and .929 save percentage in 11 playoff games. Fradette also played a key role in the Raiders’ run to capture the Mac’s Midget Tournament in Calgary and appearance in the Alberta Midget League finals last season.
In addition to his time with the Raiders, Fradette also served as an affiliate with the Oil Barons last season. The Oil Barons would like to welcome Evan back to Fort McMurray!

Regular season update
A reminder that our 2019/20 season opener will take place on Friday, September 13. The Grande Prairie Storm will be in town for a weekend set at the Casman Centre.
Puck drop for both games is 7:30 PM. Tickets for the season opener (and all other home games) are on sale through the Casman Centre box office and online at fortmcmurrayoilbarons.ca.
