The Fort McMurray Oil Barons have acquired Dylan Bidyk and future considerations from the Calgary Canucks in exchange for future considerations.
The (04) Calgary born defenseman is in his second year with the Canucks and his third season in the AJHL. Bidyk has 3 points (2 goals and 1 assist) in 5 games played so far this season. The left-shot defenseman has 98 total games of experience in the AJHL.
“We are very excited to be adding Dylan into our D core. He is a defenseman that can be inserted into our top 4 mix and is an offensive guy that can contribute 5 on 5 and on our PP. He has great offensive instincts, sees the ice well, and one of his best assets is his shot.” Said Head Coach and General Manager Adam Manah. “He is another player that checks off the boxes in terms of his skating ability, activating into the rush, and can be a solid 2-way player for us not only this year but next season as well. He fits exactly what we were looking for and are thrilled to be adding him to our back end.”
The Oil Barons would like to welcome Dylan and his family to the organization.
