Nikolas Hoogendoorn Commits to Dalhousie University

The Fort McMurray Oil Barons are proud to announce forward Nikolas Hoogendoorn has committed to U Sports program Dalhousie University to play for the Tigers.

“I am extremely excited to see Nik get the opportunity to continue his hockey career at the USports level next season! Nik is one of the biggest ‘team’ guys in the game, and is driven to bring energy to the rink everyday.” Said Interim Head Coach Carter Duffin. “Having had the privilege to coach him for the past 3 seasons, I am very proud to see his continued growth as a player and young man. He continued to push himself daily this season and we are proud that he has earned an opportunity to take the next step and join Dalhousie.”

Hoogendoorn currently has 18 points (9 goals and 9 assists) in 47 games played with the Oil Barons this season. The 2003 born forward has 128 career AJHL games of experience to his belt.
