Fort McMurray, Alta. (Oct. 7, 2015) – The Fort McMurray Oil Barons of the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) have acquired 1996-born forward Lindsay MacLellan (Penticton, B.C.) from the Dauphin Kings of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League (MJHL) for future considerations. The 6’2”, 215 pound forward split time between the Virden Oil Capitals of the MJHL and Estevan Bruins of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL) last season.
In 58 games with the Oil Capitals and Bruins, MacLellan recorded 18 points (six goals, 12 assists) and 107 penalty minutes. MacLellan has yet to suit up this season.
“Linday’s a power forward that will add a physical presence and some scoring to our lineup,” said Head Coach and General Manager Tom Keca. “He has family ties to Fort McMurray and we’re excited to welcome him to the Oil Barons and back to northern Alberta.”
