Taner Miller has been named the AJHL's opening week Alberta Ford Dealers Defensive Player of the Week! The fourth-year Oil Baron and new team captain opened the new season with two goals and two assists in a pair of games against the Grande Prairie Storm over the weekend.
Miller posted an assist in Friday night’s season opener in a 3-2 win in overtime and added two goals and one assist in a 6-3 victory on Saturday. Miller also earned the Viterra AJHL Star of the Game Award following Saturday's game.
