Congrats to Kabore Dunn on being named the AJHL’s Defensive Player of the Week for the week of October 21-27.
Dunn, 17, recorded 5 points (two goals, three assists) over four games for the Oil Barons last week, the most among AJHL defenceman.
Dunn opened the week with a goal and two assists to edge the Bonnyville Pontiacs 6-5 in a shootout at the Casman Centre. Dunn received Player of the Game honours for his performance.
Later in the week, the Oil Barons travelled to Lloydminster and defeated the Bobcats in back to back games with Dunn earning his fifth assist of the season. To close out the road trip on Sunday in Bonnyville, Dunn picked up an assist on the OIl Barons’ lone goal in a 4-1 loss to the Pontiacs.
Earlier this month, Dunn was identified on the NHL Central Scouting Players Watch List .
