The Barons completed a weekend sweep of the Whitecourt Wolverines winning 3-1 Friday and 6-3 Saturday at the Casman Centre.
Friday's game saw a great goaltender battle as Tanner Jaillet stopped 30 shots for his 15th win of the season. John Teets (3rd), Hayden Dawes (7th) and Danton Ayotte (11th) scored for the Barons. The MOB led in shots 32-31 and the scoring chances were even at 19-19. Hayden Dawes had the game winner with his 1st shorthanded goal of his career.
Saturday saw the Barons fall behind 3-1 after the 1st period before scoring 5 straight to win 6-3. Ryan Bloom (12th) Hayden Dawes (8th/9th), Mitch Vanderlaan (4th) and Brennan Saulnier (7th/8th) scored for the MOB. The Barons held a 45-23 edge in shots and a 24-10 edge in scoring chances.
