The Barons improved to 16-0 at the Casman Centre sweeping Grande Prairie 6-1 and 3-2 this weekend.
Friday the Barons got goals from Danton Ayotte(12th), Jetlan Houcher(16th) Kaiden Tobin(5th), Hayden Dawes(10th), Curtis Lewington(4th-1st as a Baron) and Mitch Vanderlaan(5th). The shots were 39-33 for the MOB and the scoring chances were 27-13 for the home side. Goalie Tanner Jaillet improved to 16-2-2 on the season. Jetlan Houcher added 2 assists while Kevin Miller added 3 assists in the win.
Saturday saw the Barons struggle before mounting a 3rd period comeback for a 3-2 win. Luc Lalor scored his first 2 goals of the season and added 1 assist. Jetlan Houcher(17th) had the game winning goal with just over a minute remaining in the 3rd period. Jesse Gordichuk improved to 9-0 as the Barons were outshot 32-24 and outchanced 16-12. The Barons penalty kill was outstanding killing 9 Grande Prairie power plays including 2 lengthy 5 on 3's in the 3rd period.
