Fort McMurray, AB (May 28, 2019) – The Fort McMurray Oil Barons are excited to announce that veteran Junior A coach Bob Beatty (La Ronge, SK) will join the organization as an Associate Coach this season.
“I'm excited to come to Fort McMurray and join a very respected organization,” said Beatty. “The Oil Barons are always competitive within the AJHL and have a proven track record of moving players on to the next level. I look forward to working with Dave and the rest of his staff this season.”
In total, Beatty brings over 21 years of Junior A coaching experience to the Oil Barons. Beatty boasts an impressive coaching resume having won three SJHL Championships as a Head Coach (Humboldt 2003, La Ronge 2010, 2011) and a National Junior A Championship title (Humboldt 2003).
Most recently, Beatty served as the Head Coach of the Shawnigan Lake School's Bantam prep team for the past two seasons.
