Fort McMurray, AB (January 22, 2019) – The Fort McMurray Oil Barons are excited to announce that 2000-born defenceman Ty Ettinger (Ardrossan, AB) has joined the team's active roster.
The 6-foot-1, 190 pound defenceman has appeared in 77 WHL games over the past two seasons, including 31 games with the Vancouver Giants this season. With the Giants this season, Ettinger has registered three assists and 34 penalty minutes.
Ettinger is also a graduate of the Sherwood Park Kings Midget AAA program, where he recorded 15 points (three goals, 12 assists) in 33 games during the 2016-17 season.
