Pooley wins Player of the Week

FORT MCMURRAY, AB (December 3, 2012) — Fort McMurray Oil Barons forward Scott Pooley (Granger, IN) has been named the Player of the Week by the AJHL.

Pooley scored 4 goals and 1 assist on the weekend, including the game-winner on Sunday afternoon in Calgary, and was named first star in both that game and Saturday's 4-2 win in Canmore.

In his rookie season with the MOB, the 18-year old winger has scored 7 goals and 6 assists; he ranks third on the team in goals, leading all rookies.

The team is 5-0 in games in which Pooley has scored a goal, and 7-0-1 in games in which he scores a point.

Pooley is the first Oil Baron to win the award this year, and only the fourth to win it from a North division team this year.
