Oil Barons trim roster to 23

FORT McMURRAY, AB (September 14, 2014) – The Fort McMurray Oil Barons of the Alberta Junior Hockey League have reduced their roster size back down to 23, releasing defenceman Cole Dunphy (Sturgeon County, AB) and forward Nick Harder (Sherwood Park, AB), the team announced today.

Dunphy was acquired in a trade in October of last year from the La Ronge Ice Wolves of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League, and dressed in 60 total games for the Oil Barons (43 regular season, 17 playoff), registering 9 regular season and 5 playoff points, all assists.

Harder was acquired as a free agent and dressed in two regular season games for the team this year.

The Oil Barons would like to thank Cole and Nick for their contributions to the organization and wish them both the best in their hockey careers.
