Oil Barons Trade Scalise to Wolverines

Fort McMurray, Alta. (Sept. 17, 2015) – The Fort McMurray Oil Barons of the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) have traded 1997-born defenceman Salvatore Scalise (Calgary, Alta.) to the Whitecourt Wolverines for future considerations. Scalise joined the Oil Barons last season, registering nine points (three goals, six assists) and 36 penalty minutes in 46 games.

“Our goal is to develop junior-aged players to help them move on to the next level,” said Head Coach and General Manager Tom Keca. “Given our current roster, it wasn’t possible to give Salvatore the ice time he deserves to develop. He’s a great kid on and off the ice, and we wish him the best in his future hockey and academic endeavours.”
