Oil Barons trade Reeves to MHL’s Timberwolves

Fort McMurray, AB (December 1, 2019) – The Oil Barons continued a busy Sunday trading 2000-born forward Lucas Reeves (La Salle, QC) to the Maritime Hockey League’s (MHL) Miramichi Timberwolves for future considerations. Decenmber 1 marks the CJHL’s roster deadline. In the AJHL, teams must submit a roster of no more than 25 players, two of which must be goaltenders.

Reeves joined the Oil Barons following an offseason trade with the Bonnyville Pontiacs. Reeves’ playing time has been limited to five games this season due to a hand injury. In that span, he’s recorded two assists.

The Oil Barons thank Lucas for his contributions and wish him the best.

Earlier in the day, the Oil Barons acquired 2000-born defenceman Declan Douthart from the BCHL’s Trail Smoke Eaters. Full details are available at fortmcmurrayoilbarons.ca.
