Oil Barons Trade Drohan to Calgary Canucks

Fort McMurray, AB (August 28, 2016) – The Fort McMurray Oil Barons of the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) have traded 1998-born defenceman Mark Drohan (Calgary, AB) and future considerations to the Calgary Canucks for future considerations.

In 74 games over two seasons with the MOB, Drohan recorded 28 points (nine goals, 19 assists) and 51 penalty minutes. Drohan also spent time with the Western Hockey League's (WHL) Tri-City Americans last season, in appearing in two regular season games.

“We believe this trade will help our organization in the future and give Mark the opportunity to play in front of family and friends in Calgary,” said Head Coach and General Manager Tom Keca.

The Oil Barons thank Mark for his contributions over two seasons and wish him the best in the future.
