Oil Barons trade Curr to Drumheller

Fort McMurray, AB (January 7, 2020) – The Oil Barons made a move ahead of Friday’s CJHL trade deadline, trading 1999-born goaltender Chris Curr (St. Albert, AB) to the Drumheller Dragons for future considerations.

The 20-year-old Curr is currently in his third season with the Oil Barons. Throughout his Junior A career, he’s appeared in 77 games (all with the Oil Barons) recording 43 wins, two shoutouts; a 2.80 goals-against average and a .911 save percentage.

The Oil Barons thank Chris for his contributions and dedication to the organization over the past three seasons. We wish him and his family all the best in the future.

The Oil Barons will head out on a three-game road trip through southern Alberta this weekend, starting in Canmore on Friday. The team’s next home game will take place on Friday, January 17 against the Okotoks Oilers. Puck drop will take place at 7:30 p.m.

You can tune into Country 93.3 for live play-by-play of all Oil Barons games.
