Oil Barons to wear Remembrance Day jerseys on Nov 9/10

To honour Canada’s military men and women this Remembrance Day, the Oil Barons will dawn commemorative jerseys on November 9 and 10 when the Brooks Bandits and Camrose Kodiaks visit the Casman Centre.

Before the puck drops on Friday's game against the Bandits, the Oil Barons will open an auction for each game-worn jersey and all proceeds will be donated to Royal Canadian Legion Branch 165 in Fort McMurray. The auction will continue until the end of the 2nd intermission on Saturday.

“As Canadians, it’s important for us to reflect on the role our brave military men and women have played in serving Canada at home and abroad,” said Oil Barons President David Fitzgerald. “This is our way of honouring them and raising money to support programs and services that are offered by the Royal Canadian Legion for veterans.”

Can't make it to the game? Bids can be placed at any point until the end of the 2nd intermission on Saturday by calling the Casman Centre at 780-743-5509.
