FORT McMURRAY, AB (February 24, 2015) – The Fort McMurray Oil Barons are pleased to announce that the team’s regular season award trophies will be handed out on the ice at the Casman Centre this season, prior to the team’s final regular season game hosting the Lloydminster Bobcats this Saturday night.
Traditionally, the team’s awards were handed out at a private post-season banquet. The organization is changing this tradition to bring the team’s fantastic and loyal fanbase into the experience of honouring the team’s best and most exceptional talents.
Fans will see the trophies for the annual Coaches’ Award, Best Defenceman, Unsung Hero, Glen Carriere “Hustle” Award, Most Defensive Player, Top Scorer, Most Dedicated Player, Rookie of the Year, and Most Valuable Player presented by the Barons’ coaching staff in the pre-game ceremony.

Game time both nights is 8:00 PM, though Saturday night’s face-off will be slightly delayed with the awards ceremony beginning just before 8 PM.
