The Fort McMurray Oil Barons are excited to announce the start of the Oil Barons Youth Hockey Skills and Development Program lead by Assistant Coach Matt Liggett. The Oil Barons are looking to offer young hockey players top quality development in power skating, puck skills, small area games and goalie development in a positive and supportive environment. The program will include appearances from current MOB players depending upon away games/travel.
There will be 5 different skates per week including U7, U9, U11, U13/U15/U18 and Edgework & Puck Control (Ages 9+).
New this month is the Edgework & Puck Control which is a more advanced ice time. This camp will have drills that aim to enhance the agility and power of your edge work. The goal is to improve your ability to change directions quickly and maintain balance while executing quick puck handles. *Players in U11 and U13 can register for both the Edgework & Puck Control and their respective age group sessions*
There will be 30 skater spots and 2 goalie spots available for all sessions.
Spots will only be reserved once payment is received.
All ice sessions will take place at Centerfire Place at 4:15pm.
Cost: $45 per ice time x 4 ice times = $180 + GST($9.00) $189 TOTAL

Monday’s Edgework & Puck Control (ages 9+)
- January 6th, 13th, 20th and 27th.
Tuesday’s U13/U15/U18
- January 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th.
Wednesday’s U9
- January 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th.
Thursday’s U11
- January 2nd, 9th, 23rd, 30th.
Friday’s U7
- January 3rd, 10th, 24th, 31st.
