The Fort McMurray Oil Barons are excited to announce the signing of forward Keefe Gruener (04).
The Winnipeg, MB, native spent the previous 3 seasons playing for the U18 AAA Winnipeg Wild. Last year Gruener contributed 55 points (27 goals and 28 assists) in just 38 regular season games while also posting 13 points (6 goals and 7 assists) in 11 playoff games.
“We are looking forward to adding Keefe into our forward group this season. He is a player that brings an exceptional work ethic, competes hard on pucks, is solid in the face-off circle, and brings a consistent effort every single game” said Head Coach and General Manager Adam Manah. “We feel Keefe can contribute on both sides of the puck offensively and defensively. He is a high character guy that will bring terrific habits to the rink everyday.”
The Oil Barons would like to welcome Keefe and his family to the organization.
