The Fort McMurray Oil Barons have signed forward Vincent Lamanna (03).
Lamanna most recently played with the Everett Silvertips of the WHL where he spent the past two seasons accumulating a total of 78 games played. The 6’2″ centermen had a short stint with Bonnyville before his time in the WHL where he played in 6 games with the Pontiacs.
“Very excited to be inserting Vincent into our forward group. He is a player that you will notice right away standing at 6’2, 190 lbs. When we found out he was available, we wanted to jump on him right away. Not only for his size, but he has a strong skill set in which he can score, be a playmaker, and is good in the face-off circle. We expect him to play in every role and contribute to our PP by being a tall order at net front as a screen guy.” Said Head Coach and General Manager Adam Manah. “The fact he has two years of WHL experience under his belt with the Everett Silvertips is also something that was appealing for us. He will bring a ton of leadership to our group and be a good mentor for our young players this season.”
Vincent will dawn the number #28 for the MOB and expect him to be inserted into the lineup tonight against the Calgary Canucks starting at 7:30.
The Fort McMurray Oil Barons would like to welcome Vincent and his family to the organization.
