Oil Barons Sign Defenseman Nolan Kazeil

The Fort McMurray Oil Barons are excited to announce the signing of defenseman Nolan Kazeil.

Kazeil, originally from Edmonton, spent the previous year with the Northern Alberta Xtreme U18 Prep program where he played in 36 regular season games and put up 23 points (4 goals and 19 assists) and 4 playoff games where he contributed 5 assists. The right shot defenseman also has AJHL experience suiting up in 3 games last season with the Sherwood Park Crusaders.

“We are thrilled to be adding Nolan to our D core for this season. Nolan is a solid all-around defenseman with good skating ability. His ability to get back to pucks quickly allow him to move pucks up the ice efficiently.” Said Assistant Coach Justin Rose. “His best attribute is his hockey IQ. He sees the play and then makes the play. It seems so simple, but he is very effective at getting pucks into the forwards hands. He continues to put the work in off the ice to put on size to make him a solid defender for 22-23.”

The Oil Barons would like to welcome Nolan and his Family to the organization.
