The Fort McMurray Oil Barons are excited to announce the signing of Liam Rodman (04).
Rodman, the 6’2″ right shot defenseman is originally from Saskatoon, SK. Last season Rodman contributed 16 points (7 goals and 9 assists) in 41 games during the regular season for the U18 AAA Saskatoon Blazers, while also scoring 3 goals and adding an assist in 4 playoff games.
“We are very excited to be adding Liam to our blue line for 22-23. He was a target of ours in the Saskatchewan U18AAA League known as one of the most bruising hitters in the league. Liam is a versatile defenseman that can play in all situations and takes pride in being a solid shut down guy. Along with being tough to play against, he is a good puck mover and knows when to pick and choose his spots to activate into the play.” Said Assistant Coach Justin Rose. “He wore a letter for the Saskatoon Blazers this past season and will bring leadership and character to our back end.”
