Oil Barons add power forward Jordan Roy

Fort McMurray, AB (January 16, 2018) –The Fort McMurray Oil Barons finalized their 2017/18 roster on Tuesday, adding 1998-born power forward Jordan Roy (Lethbridge, AB).

The 6’2, 190 pound forward is a veteran of 98 WHL games over two seasons with the Tri-City Americans and Red Deer Rebels. Known for his size, skill, physicality, and high compete level, Roy registered 14 points (seven goals, seven assists) in the WHL.

Roy also appeared in seven games with the BCHL's Chilliwack Chiefs this season, recording three points (one goal, two assists). Roy's addition brings the Oil Barons' roster to 23 players, the maximum number of players permitted under AJHL rules.

Last week, the Oil Barons made another addition to their roster, adding 1997-born forward Coy Prevost from the Canmore Eagles at the AJHL trade deadline.
