Oil Barons acquire Stafford from Crusaders

Fort McMurray, AB (September 6, 2018) – The Oil Barons have added depth at forward, acquiring 2000-born forward Brendan Stafford from the Sherwood Park Crusaders for future considerations.

The Edmonton-native spent last season with the Lethbridge Hurricanes of the WHL. In 36 games with the Hurricanes, Stafford had six points (one goal, five assists). In 60 games with the Crusaders during the 2016-17 campaign, Stafford registered 24 points (six goals, 18 assists).

“Brendan's a skilled forward that will bring some offensive depth and experience to our lineup,” said MOB Head Coach and General Manager Tom Keca. “He's a young player that has some junior experience, having already spent a season with the Crusaders and a season at the major junior level with Lethbridge. We're excited to welcome Brendan north to Fort McMurray.”
