The Fort McMurray Oil Barons have acquired defenseman Jano Zambakdjian (05) from the Blackfalds Bulldogs in exchange for Future Considerations.
“Jano was a targeted recruit for us last year at Mount Academy. When we were told he was available, we jumped on it. He was the Captain of his team last year and he resonates with character, work ethic, and bringing the right mentality to the rink every day. He fits our mold, and it doesn’t hurt to have him join his two teammates in Cambell & Lebeau. On the ice, he is a great skater, moves pucks very well, and has solid offensive upside to his game. We expect him to not only bring depth to our back end, but a left-handed shot that we needed.” Said Head Coach and General Manager Adam Manah.
The left shot defenseman played for the Mount Academy U18AAA Saints last season where he tallied 13 goals and 44 assists for 57 points in 64 games played. Zambskdjian stands at 5’11” and is originally from Laval, QC.
The Oil Barons would like to welcome Jano and his family to the organization.
