Fort McMurray, AB (December 20, 2018) – The Fort McMurray Oil Barons added depth on Thursday, acquiring Jaedon Leslie (St. Albert, AB) from the Whitecourt Wolverines for future considerations.
Leslie, 20, currently leads the Wolverines in scoring with 30 points (12 goals, 18 assists) in 34 games this season. In 184 games over 3-plus seasons with the Wolverines, the 6'2, 185 pound forward has recorded 46 goals and 72 assists for 118 points.
“Jaedon's a strong power forward that brings size and experience to our line up,” said Head Coach and General Manager Tom Keca. “He's a versatile player that can play in many different situations, whether that's taking a key face off in the defensive zone or helping move the puck in the offensive zone on the power play.”
“Obviously, he's a player we're familiar with having faced Whitecourt the past two years in the playoffs,” added Keca. “He also brings a lot of playoff experience to our team having played in the 2017 AJHL Finals with the Wolverines. We're excited to welcome him to our team as we head down the final two months of the regular season.”
