Oil Barons Acquire Hudson Norris From Pontiacs

The Fort McMurray Oil Barons have acquired forward Hudson Norris from the Bonnyville Pontiacs in exchange for future considerations.

Norris played in his rookie season in the AJHL last year with the Olds Grizzlys where he contributed 34 points (8 goals and 26 assists) in 58 games. The 2003 born forward is originally from Edmonton, AB.

“We are excited to add to not only our forward group, but to acquire a 20 yr old that has experience in our league was helpful. Hudson is a player that will be able to contribute to our offense and has been able to do so at every level he has played at since U15. He is 6’1, 190 lbs. He possesses a good skill set which allows him to be dynamic with the puck. He has scored at every level, can be a playmaker, use his big frame to protect pucks in the offensive zone and be hard to play against. We want the puck on his stick because he will make a play with it when he has it. In his rookie season while playing in Olds he put up 34 points and was on their top line. We expect him to be versatile playing center or the wing and can be a solid piece to our power play as well. He will be a great fit in MOB colors in 2023-24.” Said Head Coach and General Manager Adam Manah.

The Oil Barons would like to welcome Hudson and his family to the organization.
