The Fort McMurray Oil Barons have acquired Jordan Edwards from the Blackfalds Bulldogs in exchange for future considerations.
Edwards, the 2002 born defenseman is originally from Saskatoon, SK. He spent last season with the Cowichan Valley Capitals of the BCHL where he played in 43 games registering 7 points (1 goal and 6 assists) and this season has suited up in 2 games with the Bulldogs.
“We have been looking to acquire a 20 yr old defenseman since the summer. We knew we had a good core of younger D coming in but wanted to compliment that with some veterans. Adding Jordan gives us a guy with experience in the BCHL and AJHL. He brings size at 6’3, 180 lbs and with that plays a physical, mean style of game. He makes a good first pass, is mobile, and keeps the game simple on the back end. He is a great fit into our line-up because he is built for the north division. His ability to make heavy plays all over the ice is an area we felt we needed to upgrade.” Said Head Coach and General Manager Adam Manah.
The Fort McMurray Oil Barons would like to welcome Jordan and his family to the organization.
