Fort McMurray, AB (October 17, 2021) The Fort McMurray Oil Barons have acquired 2001-born forward Alex Danis (Calgary, AB) from the Wenatchee Wild of the British Columbia Junior Hockey League in exchange for future considerations.
Last season, Danis split time between the Swan Valley Stampeders of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League and the Pueblo Bulls of the USPHL scoring nineteen points (11 goals, 8 assists) in 12 games. He spent the 2019-20 season with the Lloydminster Bobcats amassing twelve points (5 goals, 7 assists) in 48 games.
“Alex is a skilled forward that adds another veteran presence to our lineup” said Head Coach and General Manager Gord Thibodeau. “He has the versatility to play center or wing, and as a coaching staff we are thrilled to have him join the team.”
