Oil Barons acquire a pair of 19 year old forwards

Fort McMurray, AB (July 15, 2019) – The Oil Barons are excited to announce the acquisition of a pair of 19-year-old forwards.

First, in a trade with the Bonnyville Pontiacs, the Oil Barons have acquired 2000-born forward Lucas Reeves (La Salle, QC) for future considerations. In 25 games with the Pontiacs last season, Reeves recorded 15 points (five goals, 10 assists). In four playoff games, Reeves registered two assists.

In a separate trade, the Oil Barons acquired 2000-born forward Michael Hodge (Calgary, AB) from the Salmon Arm Silverbacks of the BCHL for future considerations. In 53 games between the Trail Smoke Eaters and Alberni Valley Bulldogs of the BCHL last season, Hodge recorded 25 points (10 goals, 15 assists). Hodge also scored one goal in four playoff games last season.
